    @Alexdu75 this problem existed even before 1.28, the thing that causes your crash is a custom icon for the Runic Armor upgrade, mac user face that often with icons, models etc. i think no one found a solution so far not even blizzard. u might fight something on google but i doubt it. best way to fix is prob get windows.

    But might be mac related or just something else random. 1.28 patch has left minor problem(for everyone, even more if you still use 1.27b and try to play with people on 1.28) most should be fixed in 3.5
    We have seen and heard of this problem tho so it's not unknown.

    Everytime I construct my research center in 3.4 i got a strange crash. And I mean everytime :P
    It just worked once when my mate build the research for me but I just tried 5mn ago and i still got a crash anyway.

    Any tips for avoiding that annoying bug ?

    @Krackles i'm 100% certain i've played such a map in the past maybe you can find it on epicwar.com / Maps i think it was called Footmen vs Grunts 4 Teams, it's a nice idear but i don't see it beeing created by our clan in the near future hero push and fvg already take a lot of time and still have some game mechanic issues that have to be fixed first.

    well warcraft 3 unfortunately doesnt support mac too well, lot of desyncs are known of, it's has nothing to do with the map, maybe you can find some solutions on google

    Played almost 150 HP games. Out from that maybe 40 games was desynced. Very disturbing and annoying thing. Others see me afk and I am playing with bots and not actual players. Very common bug.

    each town gives ticking gold, team who losing ground have to gain more bounty. that makes people more aggressive, and prevents heart-targeting strategy.

    Villages: Current state
    Each player has his own village, the hearts are villages, and there are ~10 neutral villages. Every village can be conquerd even the hearts. Villages have different sizes and give income. If the enemy conquers a village the team gets x gold/s. The player who conquerd the village gets twice the income.

    Village consist of 2 buildings: invulnerable "Gold mines" which can be upgraded and the flag, which can be fortified.

    How to conquer?
    Upgraded gold mines are not downgraded after capture.
    Mode A:
    You destroy the enemy flag and must kill (almost) all enemies units in the area. The player with the biggest/strongest army gets the gold mines (for double income).
    Mode B:
    You destroy the enemy flag, construct your own flag (peon/item) and kill all enemy units in the area. But if your flag ist killed before the area is cleared, the gold mine cant be captured. The enemy flag must be destroyed and you must have an own flag. The owner of the flag gets the gold mine.

    How does it work?
    First you fight for the small villages (1n1). Later you can try to capture the heart (5n5) to severe handicap the enemy team. If you captured all villages you win. If you lose "your" village, you can upgrade an other village to become your new base.
    Always have atleast a few units in a village, to not be suprised by blitzkrieg and lose it.
    Heroes cannot capture villages or kill flags.

    Doesn't that bounty system help an already winning team? They're stronger and will probs kill faster, cause they have stronger units. It could encourage people at the stone to attack the heart, since they have an opportunity to get more gold, but if they decide to camp and not be aggressive? They can sit with gold buff.

    That bigger map sounds like a raider fest, ppl would just run around with raiders and cap villagers and farm gold and never fight till strong enough. Idk, haven't seen it, but seems cool.



    Need to remove / fix some heros tho, these heros have very little counter-play for their cost.

    Like sea giant, nearly unkillable and does insane dmg to army with barely any items.
    Dark wizard needs to be removed, channeled ults should be able to be broken, with stuns and etc.
    Dark troll has same value as a 4.5k admiral if not more, he's insane, he shouldn't cost 900g.

    Less important hero stuff
    Druid of the claw, no tooltip for roar? cool hero, but abilities seem very weak, 126hps for a lvl 8 basic ability? Idk what his roar does at lvl 8 compared to lvl 1.
    Werewolf, so much negative affects to a pretty weak hero, werewolf form takes dps and extra magic dmg, bloodlust increases attackspeed but increases dmg taken by 200%. Unfairly weak hero.
    Can sorceress have mass poly morph as an ult? is that possible, her current ult sucks, especially at later lvls.

    Anyone else have suggestions?

    How about a much bigger map. Alliance in the west, horde in the east. Between them are several villages, which can be conquered and give gold to the owner and the team. Every player has his own territory to defend but can theoretically move his army freely. Main source of income would be the villages, bounty would be (kinda) negligible. (Lol this sounds like risk)

    I made some changes you suggested, but im not done yet. I'll post a full changelog later.

    I'm also making changes to the spawn system: Training a unit increases the unit-cap for this unit-type by 1 (at the beginning the cap for all units is 0). Every player has an indiviudal unit-cap for each unit-type, all units still respawn. Buy 1st Rifle -> Max. 1 Rifle, ..., buy 10th Rifle -> Max. 10 Rifles. Atm the final maxium is the default maximum of FvG4.3 (e.g. 18 for Rifleman).
    Gold cost will be changed accordingly. This allows you to make a very individual army. You play support but still want some defense then buy 12 Priests and 2 Knights and 1 War Golem. You play melee but want some heal, max grunts, raider and tauren and get 2 docs. etc.
    Kodos, Bear, Docs etc. must be adjusted to not be to op (cheap).

    The bounty system will be changed too. It's just a rough idea: Income based on amount of units, which fought in a battle. Let's say "battle" means an enemy unit dies. All units in a radius around the killed units increase the income proportionally.
    Unit A kills Unit B -> A gets 1 gold/s for the next 10 seconds. Unit A kills Unit C -> A gets 2 gold/s for the next 10 seconds. Unit A kills 10 more Units -> A gets 12 gold/s for the next 10 seconds.
    If 10 units kill 1 units each units give 0,1 gold/second.
    This is just an idea, i havent thought any further about it.

I think you're a bit to fixated on the mana thing, restore scrolls exist, people can walk back to base and regen mana (noone fights for like over a minute), stone restores mana too, meditate upgrades. Idk, I don't mana regen breaks and makes a fight like you think. We should playtest sometime, 1vs1, I would like to see what you think is the most broken army composition.

    Why are we comparing flying machines and destros? Different functions, flying machine is literally marines, same DPS but +400g for air which I don't think is okay, 2 essentially identical units on the same race. Hippo riders with range and dmg obliterate destros.

    1. you said walker+doctor is expensive. but they have cheap upgrade cost. so they are cheaper then alliance. and shamans mana aura STACKS with hero/item brill.
    walker = 2000 + 200 = 2200
    doctor = 1200 + 100 + 200 = 1500
    priest = 1400 + 200 + 400 + 800 = 3000
    soceress = 1300 + 200 + 400 + 600 = 2500

    2. destroyers
    200 - 150%. whats difference? flying machine has NO ARMOR UPGRADE. plus, destroyers can heal/dispell with absorb magic and massive damage buff with splash when they have mana. they are too versatile unit. ensnare? hippo/machines have same problem.

    I dont think horde magic is significantly better then alliance, alliance is better.
    You can buy brill aura at shop for 650g, same 3 mana regen as shaman brill aura. So what advantage does that have? You don't always have to dispel horde, you can still cast slow on blood-lust, counter act each other +30% lust + -30% slow = ? also poly morph. Yes witch doc and spiirit link combo is good but stop assuming, you have max gold to buy everything at the start. walkers are 2k gold and witch docs are 1.2k you'll lose to hippo riders before you get enough money, same as troll hp upgrades.

    Whats the big deal about destros? 50% dmg reduction too op? 200% to 150%? Like i said, noone ever buys them? Underused for a reason? Same for fiend? So what if they become op, can't we try something new and see? freshen up the game? I know i play wc3, same game for like 6 years, but i like to see something different once in a while.

    Take your own advice instead of attacking me, post something constructive. Do you have any suggestions?

Maybe fix that since the towers in the new version cant even shoot without an upgrade. Possible ways to fix that would be to add a counter before they explode (~3-5 seconds maybe) or make them much weaker against towers.

    Seems like alota work for something thats not really needed to make the bots (computer Easy-Insane) adaptable to the map. when it's a team game.....

    In HP I've even asked that the AI should be removed/inactive so that it dont use spells/move units at all so it's more or less like a player with -afk turned on (you'll know what i mean if you played HP) So that you can pplay with 2 since you are able to control 2 heroes and 2 bases inanother way in HP then in fvg. cuz of no hero limit mass control tower and just bigger and more open map that would make it hard for a player to efecivly use 2 armys. more so cuz you are unable to buy with the comps gold if they stand by a shop and you an item for them it's your gold that is used not it's no matter that it was thier unit and inventory that was used. so to fix that you need alota more work and to make the mass control tower to work on muli players and not just your own or haveing to contorl 2 of them. OFC if all these things where made you'd be able to play with the comp and your self but then maunaly (like playing with 2 accs on same game with 2 compuers or something) but to develop and adapt the bots A.I. and prio seems just like a waste of time. IMO

    But if Compit feels this is a good idea id just say make sure thier are atleast 3-6 difrent A.Is for the bots per team So that it don't just use the same strat 24/7 or it would not work in a public game.

    Its a common tactic in fvg, it exists since years (mostly used by "apple69/pineapple69/carrot69" lol).
    Its easy to counter with web/ensnare. But it feels like web/ensnare lasts shorter on them (only this should be fixed).

    As a dark ranger you can have atleast have 6 couatls with 90-100 attack and can attack multiple units at once .... if you're lucky you get the "rune of rebirth" = 6+ couatls ....

    Gidday'' i just logged on to play fvg and i had a new version installed.Compit do u have time for a changelog Plz.Also Compit have u given any more thought to a mortar type hero?.Also the necromancer it is never used i do mean never used,if used it will be by the noob for which they wil only get pawned then kicked by feed.Possible u experiment with auto cast unholy frenzy/cripple.Me thinks there are others that would like to see if that is possible.     @novocain Cuz raiseing dead just need a nearby corpse and was made to be able to be auto cast by blizz, cripple and frenzy will need a primary/who to target frist list like they made with BL/heal/IF unholy frenzy i can agree would be nice auto cast but cripple imo better if manualy microed then autocast it's still a somewhat small map not like a big AW LR when you have 400+ units when atuocast would help alot :P
    tho maybe in future if compit like the idea he'll make more autocast :P

    Ja also man kann noch so zwei Steine in die Mitte machen. Der eine Stein der bringt immer nur für ein Team was.

    Wenn der Stein(von Team Allianz) dem Team Allianz gehört dann ist der wie der Hauptstein(mana und so).
    Wenn der Stein von Team Allianz dem Team Horde gehört, dann bringt der denen Nichts außer, dass der Stein nicht dem Team Allianz gehört.

    Dann ist das manchmal so, dass die Horde den Hauptstein verteidigen muss und die Allianz den versucht einzunehmen, die kann sich aber bei dem Allianzstein immer gut verteidigen.

    Maybe add a vote in the beginning of the game, where you can choose between "Random Heroes" and "No Random Heroes" for the first 15 (20?) minutes of the game. So if the people decide to play random, noone can fuck around with the same standard strategy as in every game.
